| 12:26 pm | This is why I think parents shouldn't let kids on the internet. So yes, I'm not always the nicest person, particularly to those who steal, break rules, are mean to my friends, or are little snots of society that really need to be wrapped up in tissue and tossed into the nearest bin. Being a major Doctor Who fanartist on deviantArt (Or at least, used to be. Let's face it, there are much more fabulous people around now) comes with the price with dealing with a lot of loonies, particularly of the underaged idiot fangirl variety. So I'm used to occasionally leaving a quick snide remark that goes over their head and letting it die. But today? Today I got a note on deviantart that just left me going BWUH? Complete with head turn and a good ten minutes trying to figure out what was going on. ( Explanation that I finally remembered at the bottom ) This is proof that there are idiots on every side of fandom, and one fan does not speak for all, or even the sane bunch. Excuse me, I going to go outside and laugh like an idiot for a while. EDIT: I checked my visitors log, and lo and behold.... Doesn't this kinda poke a hole in the 'We're on two different sides of the world?' (10:49am here is 4:49AM in NZ. Yeaaaaah NO.) |
| 1:51 am | Because someone decided to behave (relatively) tonight... She actually stayed relatively still on the couch when I went to get her food, so I pushed my luck, and snapped ms. Diva waiting do be served hand and foot. (Still love how our couch makes an excellent "background" for her). (Really? I think Wiki wanted to remind folks Paisley isn't the only girl pog around)  And now at least I have a proper icon of her cute, cute mug. |

| 2:09 pm | Grumble, grumble... I learned the hard way today that running for the bus, in the snow, with luggage, is BAD. My hip and elbow have yet to forgive me. Not looking forward to the ride to TF Green to get to Baltimore (which I will be in for only 12 hours until heading further south). Where's a TARDIS when you need one? Or, you know, a heat wave? ---- I've adored all the christmas cards I recieved- although I will admit due to a corrupted file, mine will be late. ChibiDoc just wasn't being helpful. ---- Wiki's went to her godmother's last night, and I have to say I'm missing her terribly. She was calm and quiet before she left, and got lots of kisses on the top of her head. (Her godmother says I spoil her rotten, but promises not to let the chinchilla boss her around.) |

| 11:57 am | *Shakes fist* I promptly demand a personal apology from Frank Miller to all The Spirit fans, and the spirit of Will Eisner. Written in blood. Jondough Deems Frank Miller’s THE SPIRIT worse than Battlefield Earth. My only hope is that they pull it early, and someone smart enough to put two sentences together at WB asks Darwyn Cooke to adapt it. PROPERLY. Really- I hope this doesn't adversely affect the book or Eisner's legacy. I knew it was going to suck from the beginning (see icon for one reason) but I kept hoping that it would at least bring a set of new people to go "hmm, better read the original first". It's awkward being a 25 year old girl hardcore fan of The Spirit (moreso than the usual comic book dealings). Really. Someone just smack Miller and Didio upside the head. HARD. As it's going, the only comics I'll have left is Hellblazer (Keanu be DAMNED!) and the occasional Sandman title, after being a DC fangirl for so long. EDIT: SON OF A BITCH. What the HELL, man? WHAT THE HELL? |

| 9:58 am | Head: 1 Me:0 In case anyone wants or cares to know, I've spent the last 5 days fighting a awful pressure in my head. It's gotten to the point that I'm going to bed at 8 and 9 at night just to have some relief- but within a few hours of waking up, it's back, pressure building. So, yeah, I'm not a happy camper. (It does not help that I'm suddenly going into hypochondriac mode. Please keep me away from lists of symptoms of meningitis.) *Whimper* So I apologize to anyone (read: no one) who might have been looking for me this week. |
